About starting a challenge

Hola happy new year! I hope this year started well. I started this year with terrible flu, but I guess it was bad timing. The good side of this is I had so much time to scroll, and in the middle of the internet ocean, I found a tremendous proposal: bringback.blog created by Ash and Ryan. You can see on their page a list of different blogs about many topics like writing, coding, art, design, tech, travel, and more from remarkable people.

As creatives, we constantly struggle to try to beat the Instagram algorithm or to be seen on Twitter or plenty of things that are detractor monsters for our creative minds. Let's be honest, it's hard for all of us to think about the illustration that you have to do and how you can shoot it a the same time to create a reel later. I have missed so much reel material putting my head under the camera while I record my illustration process or forgetting to press play. It's tough.

I found out that reading blogs has been an activity I've enjoyed since I was a kid, and I still do! For me, it feels closer and more personal than Instagram or TikTok, a private moment between the writer and the receptor. It's as if they want to share with me this intimate space from where they work but not with a picture. Put in words what I'm doing or what I feel takes more time and dedication, but it creates stronger relations. I read some time ago that a good creative it's a good reader. In addition, I firmly believe that writing gives us more tools to express, create and represent new worlds. Understanding more about storytelling and how to make our receptors feel emotions.

Here is the list of the blogs you can read:

That's why with all this information and a new year in front of me, I decided to take this initiative to be more consistent in writing in my blog, something that I've wanted to do since last year and that I have always ended up postponing. So let's go!

Thank you for reading and being around. I'm always looking for new friends, so let's keep in touch.

Happy day!
